Our Story

In 2024, we purchased 24 acres of mountainside property in Lowgap, NC, just below the Blue Ridge Parkway and a short drive to Mt. Airy, Galax, Elkin, and nearby vineyards. Since then, we've added trails and worked to improve the property for camping and entertaining.

We launched GapFest in 2025 as an opportunity to gather with family and friends under fall foliage, and relax and listen to our favorite music: a mix of bluegrass, indie folk, and mountain soul that sounds pretty dang nice on a mountain meadow.

This year, we'll return to our favorite vineyard, Round Peak, to enjoy their incredible selection of Yadkin Valley wines and great beverages from Skull Camp Brewery. There are plenty of other nearby attractions, including trails, zip lines, and shopping in Mt. Airy.
